Roger J. Tuttle, 88, longtime resident of Smithtown NY on March 27, 2023. Born on February 27, 1935 in Brooklyn, NY to the late John & Marie Tuttle. Beloved husband of the late Elizabeth. Loving father of Patricia Ann Door and Matthew C. Tuttle. Adored father-in-law of Alisa Tuttle. Dear brother of the late John P. (Cathy) Tuttle. Cherished grandfather of Lauren, Griffin, Jackson, Blake and Gabriella. Roger served his country proudly as a Corporal in the United States Marines during the Korean War and was a member of the American Legion Donald C. Munro Post #944 in Kings Park. He was also a longtime usher and a parishioner at St. Joseph’s R.C. Church in Kings Park. Roger was a retired NYPD Police Officer last serving in Queens for the Senior Citizens Robbery Unit. He was also a Past President of the Brooklyn/Queens Holy Name Society. The family will receive friends on Friday from 5-8pm at the Butler-Hughes Funeral Home Inc. 69 Indian Head Rd., Kings Park NY. Funeral Mass Saturday 9:30am at St. Joseph's R.C. Church, Kings Park. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Coram.
